Counselling and Psychotherapy

I offer both brief focused counselling and longer term in depth psychotherapy.

I believe that all of us have within us the answers to our problems but that from time to time we might need a companion on our journey to help us explore all the possible solutions and find the right one for us at that particular time.
The role of the therapist is to facilitate the process of gaining greater self awareness and understanding of others so as to improve our relationships and live a more fulfilling life.

As life constantly changes and throws up challenges we may find that the way we have dealt with things before no longer works in a new situation. Counselling can help us to see things from a different perspective and to discover new strategies for overcoming or living with our difficulties.

Loss and change are often devastating and can turn our world upside down. At a time when everything seems ‘all at sea’ counselling can provide a safe haven in which to express our feelings and mourn our losses until we feel strong again.
